About

I am currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in the area of ceramics at Michigan State University. My research focuses on identity and multiculturalism. Born in Peru, I moved to the United States with my family at the age of five. I have a B.A. and an M.A.T. from Andrews University, and I am a certified K-12 visual art, and 6-12 language arts teacher. I was a Baltimore City Public School teacher from 2008-2013, and an adjunct instructor at Saginaw Chippewa Tribal college from 2013-2015. I am very passionate about art, education, and teaching.
